Camco Delivers Specialized Geoscience Training for AGOCO Engineers

Camco recently concluded a targeted geoscience training program for the Arabian Gulf Oil Company’s (AGOCO) Geology and Exploration Department. Held from July 14 to 17, 2025, the training took place at the Nafoura and Sarir onshore fields, two of AGOCO’s major production sites, and brought together more than twenty AGOCO field engineers for a hands-on, field-focused experience.

This initiative was developed to strengthen end-user efficiency, integrate localized technology practices, and ensure that AGOCO’s teams remain aligned with evolving industry standards. Led by Mr. Jamal Ezwai, Geoscience and Technical Manager at Camco, the sessions were conducted in close coordination with AGOCO’s Geology and Exploration management.

The program covered key technical disciplines essential to field operations, including wireline open hole logging, log quality control, customized applications for AGOCO’s reservoirs, and petrophysical interpretation methods through manual calculations. Training was delivered over four intensive days, split between the two field sites, with a strong emphasis on applied knowledge and direct field relevance.

As an industry leader in Libya, Camco remains dedicated to fostering technical excellence and strengthening local capabilities by investing in the development of homegrown talent and enhancing the operational proficiency of its partners across the energy sector.
