Camco, an Edgo company, demonstrated its leadership and expertise in the energy sector by delivering Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)-accredited technical papers at ADIPEC 2024. This 40th edition of ADIPEC in Abu Dhabi marked a significant milestone in uniting the global energy industry to explore the critical roles of artificial intelligence (AI) and finance in accelerating the global energy transition. Recognized as the world’s largest and most influential event for the energy industry, ADIPEC brought together over 184,000 attendees, including more than 1,800 leading innovators, experts, and visionaries from the energy, AI and advanced technology sectors.
Camco presented two groundbreaking technical papers at the event. The first paper, “Integration of Innovative Real-Time Extra-Deep Mapping Technology Maximizes Reservoir Exposure and Increases Production Potential of a Complex Reservoir – A Successful Case History from the Largest Onshore Field, Libya,” highlighting Camco’s collaboration with the Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO). This study demonstrated the application of advanced geo-steering technologies to optimize reservoir navigation and well placement in Libya’s largest onshore oil field. The innovative approach resulted in enhanced hydrocarbon recovery and significantly boosted production potential, setting a benchmark for efficient reservoir management strategies.
The second paper, “Diagnosing Well Integrity in Oilfields with Corrosive Aquifers Using Pulse Electromagnetic and Chorus Acoustic Technologies,” showcased Camco’s partnership with Mellitah Oil & Gas (MOG). It detailed the use of advanced diagnostic methodologies that employed electromagnetic and acoustic technologies to address well integrity challenges caused by corrosive aquifers. These state-of-the-art techniques provided actionable insights to mitigate risks, improve operational safety, and maintain efficiency under demanding conditions.
Camco’s established presence at ADIPEC highlights its leadership in delivering advanced and sustainable solutions and leveraged this influential platform to demonstrate its technical expertise, strengthen collaborations, and contribute to shaping the future of the global energy sector.
