Camco Enhances Production in AGOCO’s Well V10-NC08 Using Pulse Neutron Technology 

Camco successfully executed a behind-casing reservoir evaluation for the Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) in the Hamada Field, leading to a notable improvement in the performance of Well V10-NC08.

The project focused on assessing the well’s fluid distribution and identifying productive intervals using advanced pulse neutron technology. Camco deployed multi-mode RAS Sigma and Carbon/Oxygen logging to evaluate current reservoir conditions and quantify water and hydrocarbon saturation behind casing. This approach provided AGOCO with a reliable understanding of remaining potential across the wellbore while minimizing operational disruption.

Camco’s geoscience team conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the well’s logged intervals to identify hydrocarbon-bearing zones and assess overall reservoir quality. The analysis confirmed multiple productive sections across the AOA, AOB, and Tadrart reservoir intervals, with the Tadrart section showing particularly favorable saturation levels. The study also identified areas affected by scale buildup, providing AGOCO with clear guidance on bypassed hydrocarbons and helping prioritize intervals suitable for recompletion and water-control operations.

Using the results of the pulse neutron evaluation, AGOCO implemented targeted recompletion and water-shutoff actions to improve oil flow and reduce water production. The enhanced reservoir understanding also guided planning for future stimulation and fluid-management operations. Following the intervention, production from Well V10-NC08 increased from 160 to approximately 400 barrels of oil per day, accompanied by a reduction in water cut of more than 11 percent.

This outcome highlights the effectiveness of Camco’s technical capabilities and the value of using advanced pulse neutron diagnostics to evaluate well conditions. The success of this project, delivered in collaboration with AGOCO, reflects Camco’s continued commitment to supporting Libya’s energy sector through reliable evaluation services and tailored solutions that improve the productivity of mature fields.
