Camco and ESP Mena, Edgo companies, recently concluded the final round of the Energy Jeel Initiative (EJI) visits, marking the successful completion of a multi-phase program designed to nurture Libya’s next generation of engineers.
Building on the momentum of previous sessions, this last visit brought together a new group of young Libyan engineers eager to expand their technical knowledge and gain real-world exposure to the country’s evolving energy sector.
During the visits, participants engaged directly with our technical teams, explored Camco and ESP’s state-of-the-art facilities in Tripoli, and learned about the advanced technologies driving our collaboration with Baker Hughes. The program offered an immersive learning experience, combining theoretical discussions with hands-on training and facility tours that showcased the depth of our operations, from ESP service and maintenance to directional drilling solutions.
Beyond the technical learning, the EJI reflects Edgo’s and group companies’ broader commitment to investing in human capital, empowering young professionals, and strengthening Libya’s local expertise in oilfield services. The initiative also reinforces our belief in equal opportunities for women and men in the energy industry, ensuring that the next generation of engineers can contribute confidently to the sector’s growth and modernization.
Over the course of the initiative, 43 participants have taken part in technical sessions, mentorship opportunities, and guided tours across Camco and ESP facilities, each visit building stronger bridges between education and industry. EJI stands as a testament to how collaboration and knowledge sharing can shape a more sustainable and skilled energy workforce.
As this final group completes their visit, we look back with pride at the enthusiasm, talent, and potential these young engineers have demonstrated. Together, we are building not just technical capacity, but a foundation for Libya’s energy future, one learning experience at a time.
