Welcoming Manuel Alejandro Ortíz Mendoza as Operations Manager in Libya 

We are pleased to welcome Manuel Alejandro Ortíz as Camco’s Operations Manager (OPM), who will be leading operations in Libya and serving as a rotational manager alongside OPM Ahmed Elshabah at Field 103-D. With over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Manuel brings a strong record of operational leadership, process optimization, and service quality enhancement across diverse and technically complex environments.

Manuel holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (UPB), Pontifical Bolivarian University, which he completed in 2007.

He has built a long and impressive career at Halliburton, where he held senior leadership roles across Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, US, Colombia, and Europe, most recently serving as Operational Excellence Leader in Saudi Arabia. His expertise spans strategic planning, risk management, safety compliance, and the development of high-performing teams.

In his new role, Manuel will oversee the full operational lifecycle of our product lines, ensuring field execution excellence and alignment with company standards. He will be responsible for driving efficiency, compliance, and profitability through the implementation of robust systems and best practices.

He is deeply committed to mentoring field teams, enhancing technical capabilities, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement to deliver safe and reliable services to our business partners. We are confident that Manuel’s leadership will ensure continuity and drive high performance at the 103-D Field in Libya.
