We are pleased to introduce Sherif Al Shamy, who has joined Camco as a Service Quality Coach (SQC), bringing with him a depth of field experience and a coaching mindset rooted in practical knowledge, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
Sherif graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the American University in Cairo (AUC) in 2010. He began his journey in the energy sector as an open hole wireline field engineer trainee at SLB Egypt before moving to Halliburton, where his career quickly became a global one. Over the years, he has delivered open hole and cased hole services across nine countries, Egypt, UAE, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Thailand, and Senegal, working both onshore and offshore.
Sherif is recognized for his hands-on leadership style and his ability to build strong, diverse team dynamics. One of the key principles he consistently shares with his previous teams is rooted in humility and collaboration, “If I don’t know how to do something properly, I refer to the procedure. If I still don’t understand, I ask another team member. If neither of us knows, we keep asking until we find out. There’s no shame in asking, no one is a know-it-all.” This open and constructive approach to problem-solving earned Sherif the Most Valuable Person (MVP) recognition during a multi-well exploration campaign in Croatia’s Adriatic Sea.
In his new role, Sherif will focus on enhancing the technical capabilities of field engineers (FEs) and field technicians (FTs) through structured coaching, operational oversight, and rigorous application of Camco’s local and regional quality control programs. He will conduct weekly quality control meetings, provide on-site support at Field 103, and help ensure that service delivery remains aligned with Camco’s quality standards.
Sherif’s experience, humility, and commitment to development make him a valuable asset to our operations.
Please join us in welcoming him to the team.
